HouseBot

Is anybody else using CDJ with HouseBot? I have tried several times to figure this thing out and so far, no luck at all. The sample files would seem to indicate that it is bi-directional but I see nothing to indicate how it should work.

Is there a way to retrieve the name and key from an install?
I have an old hard drive that kept crashing but I may be able to get it to boot up long enough to get the info if there is a way.

I had an install of 2.2 but I loaded the trial of 3.x and just got the upgrade key but it won't work. Do I need to uninstall 3.x and put 2.x back on and then upgrade it?

What is the best way to do this and not loose my setup?

I think I know how this works but... I put in %1%LV. Now how do I create a property that I can assign this command to that will allow from 000-185? It won't seem to take a range 000-185. I changes it to 1-185. Please don't tell me I have to key in every 000-185! Also as a test I did put a few in. 00...

Is it better to have only a single Grammar File or seperate files for groups of commands? For example, lighting commands in one file and receiver control in another and satellite control in another. Also, the tasks created to handle responses. One task for all or one task for each Group? Another not...

I am looking for a way that in a task I can check the enabled state of devices and tasks and be able to change that state.

I would have thougt it would just be one of the properties that could be accessed but it does not seem to be.

I have had a drive crash and had to reinstall my original 2.x. I now see that HouseBot has returned to CeBotics and up to 3.1. I was able to recover most of my data files from my old drive. I will want to upgrade to the newer version but didn't want to have to recreate all of my tasks/screens/device...

I hope there is a fix to this one.... I had housebot working great with tons of screens and devices configured. Most are cm11a or slinke. Now when I start up housebot I see the screen with modules loading and when that is done the program exits and nothing seems to be left loaded except slinke serve...

Starting up a client software remote and I get this in the server log.



Client Socket Error send() failed: error 10054.



On the client side as its loading it gets to the background image and something about can't find it then the app dies so I don't see the rest.
