Crashless, HouseBot has many great features, and using a PocketPC is one of them. There should be no problem of setting multiple PocetPCs to work with HouseBot. Windows OS allows to connect more than one monitor to a single PC, to make a larger work area. So for example you could view one document i...

Kevin, The "Error loading button image" message indicates that at least one of the theme images is missing. Open the theme from the HB server, and watch the status bar at the buttom. It should indicate the same problem. I think that if you look at the system error log you will see what fil...

Scott,

That's wonderful. It's a big step towards a whole house audio system.

I love it!

multiple WinAmps

Currently, it is impossible to run more than one WinAmp device with HB (it is possible to load two devices, but one affects the other - and that is not what we want). Allowing more than one instance of WinAmp will provide a nice low-cost audio distribution solution. Just add another sound card and d...

Multiple SWRemotes on the same PC

This issue was brought up by a client, and I think that it would be a great enhancement to HB. Currently, a PC can run only one SWRemote. Running several clients requires more PCs. It could be great if several (touch screen) monitors be attached to the same PC (with multiple video cards) and each wo...

Feature request for the System Time's "weekday" pr

Where I live, we work Sunday to Thursday.

Many people also work on Fridays.

It would be useful to be able to adjust the weekday property.

Thanks,

Guys, what's your conclusion about the AirPanel?

does it work well with HouseBot?

Any special problems or issues that should be considered before purchasing it?

Bluetooth will also work, but it is not as good as WiFi. Although the receive range that I experienced was very similar to the WiFi's, I encountered an annoying issue with bluetooth: I had to manually establish the connection between the PocketPC and the server every time the PocketPC was turned on....

Thank's Scott, I am concerned about response times. I want it for an application that would control *many* lights (256, or maybe even more). The cards will be queried all the time about the lights' status. Most of the time there will be no change, but when a change occurs, it needs to show up immedi...

Plugin design question

I would like to develop a plugin for cards that are connected to the serial port. The cards are concatenated to each other (up to 32 cards), and of three different types (dimmers, on/off lights and shutters). Each card can control 4 or 8 devices. I thought of creating a hardware interface to manage ...

Looks Great!

Now that's a good reason to get a webcam.

Apart from recording, is it possible to get a live view and playback with HB?

For the SWRemote, is it using 127.0.0.1 for the IP or the actual machines IP address? I used the actual IP address with "software remote" (not the "local software remote") because using the local address 127.0.0.1 with the "local software remote" didn't work. I didn't ...
