why u would have to use the extended desktop feature You need to extend the mouse area. When using multiple touch screens, you will want the touch area to be extended, and not only the display area. If you don't define the mouse area as extended, touching screens 2,3... will click only the first sc...

I have connected two touch screens to the PC that runs the HB server. You will need to take care of some issues: - If you buy touch screens, make sure that their driver supports extended desktop! you will need to define it when you install the screens. - You will need to position the remotes on the ...

It can be done.
You will need to define several software remotes, and call each from the command line with the 'name' parameter.

...but there was never really a demand for such functionality
It would be VERY useful to have an 'undo' operation or something similar.

A combined button of property change and indicator

I would like to have ONE button that will send commands and also display the status of that device. These are different properies, so a multi-state property change button will not help. Currently I use THREE controls for every lamp: - A property change button - An indicator (or label that shows perc...

I'll add it to the V3 list
It's a woderful thing that you're always open to suggestions.
That's why I like HB so much and remain loyal to it.
Thank you Scott!

I want to keep things simple. I also want to use the 'repeat' function of the dimmer. I can write only one script to handle all the dimmers, using a null device that will pass parameters to the script. However, other issues like being able to 'repeat' an action and to control more than one dimmer at...

Calculations with substitution strings

I would like to have a property change button on a theme that would change one property value to a value which is based on another property value. I tried to put in the new property value something like: %%My Dimmer.Reported State%%+5 It seems like HB ignores the calculation. I should note that both...

I should have mentioned that what I suggested will work if you have the server and the client(s) running on the same PC. In that case, the batch could also restart the SWRemote(s). You can also use a remote execute program like http://www.veloci.dk/index.asp?visnu=reexec/reexec.htm (found by Scott)....

I also would like the SWRemote to continue working when HBServer comes back to life.

If you are using a batch file for loading HBServer and SWRemote, you can add the command:
'tskill SWRemote'

This would remove all instances of SWRemote.

Then you can load SWRemote again.

I also had strange sunrise/sunset times.
It was on a new computer that had the wrong Windows time zone.
After fixing the time zone, the sunrise/sunste times are OK.

Scott,

Does the PDA SWRemote support VGA mode now?
Would it be safe so buy the Loox 720 or Dell Axim 51v or any other PDA that has a VGA screen for this purpose?

Thanks

I second that feature request also for other control types.

There had been times when I needed a transparent button with indocators and property values behind.
