I work a lot with USB->RS232 converters.
From my experience, Windows versions higher then XP are not very friendly with RS232 converters.
Some devices that worked fine under XP don't work under higher versions.
I found that FTDI converters solved these issues.

Re: Pissed as h*ll
Did you update the Software Remote on the PCs you're trying to connect from?
SWRemote would connect after being updated.

Re: Default Context text
Thank you,
That's nice but this script command opens the panel on all software remotes, whereas I need it on the calling remote only.

Re: Echo/Alexa Related: Ability to Duplicate Devices
I second that.
In installations I find myself spending time on going through the wizards and creating new devices very similar to others.
This would be a nice time saver.

Re: Voice recognition?
Sorry, no.
It uses Tasker + AutoVoice on the Android machine, and EventGhost on the PC.
If I do the process again in the future, I'll write a tutorial.

Re: XBMC plugin?
I'm glad that a few of us are interested in such a plugin. I would love HB to control Kodi. It should be exciting. I'd like to have: - Song list by artist, by genre or by name, including the disk cover - Movie list by genre, name, or year, including the photo. - Be able to select, play, pause, stop ...

Compile HB for Windows 10 on RPi
Microsoft announced that it will run Windows 10 on Raspberry Pi 2. http://dev.windows.com/en-us/featured/raspberrypi2support It's not a full Windows, and as I understand it would not be even as Windows RT. It's Windows for IoT (Internet of things). If HB can be compiled under this environment, it wo...

Re: Voice recognition?
To control HB by voice from an Android device, you can use Tasker+AutoVoice+EventGhost.
This video (in Hebrew) demonstrates HB voice control of lights and shutters, radio, home cinema system and A/C.

Disable 'The last connection to the server..."
Sometimes this popup message is hidden behind another window, so I'd like to be able to disable it while running the Software Remote.
Scott, is it possible to disable this message (by changing a regsitry key/deleting a file etc...)?
Thanks
