Perhaps you could try to upgrade your graphics driver? Do you run DirectX 9.0c? Just a few ideas.

I've heard about firewalls and anti-virus programs and download managers screwing up downloads or not working nicely with some sites, but saying download.com has problems is a bit thin unless we see more reports. Especially since you got it from another computer.

Try closing all download managers and if that doesn't work, the firewall, and if that doesn't work the anti-virus.



Don't forget to start them up again when download is complete!!

Beware that you may need different equipment for 110 V (like the US stuff) and 220 V (like in most of Europe).
