Out of date license key

Hi Folks, I'm trying to move my Housebot installation from one server to another, and am trying to install Housebot onto the new server. After installation, Housebot asked for a license key. I provided my v.3 license key. Housebot then asked for my v.2 key because it said the v.3 key was an upgrade ...

Hi Scott,
I've just reinstalled 3.01 and overwrote the W800.dll driver with the v2.09 from Housebot 2.32 as you suggested, and unfortunately the same problem is occuring - the 3 or 4 second delay is back!

It's all of them. What is interesting is that I can duplicate the delay by manually changing the "Power State" property of the triggering device in Housebot itself so that the condition becomes "met", so it does not appear to be related to the W800 receiving hardware. For example...

I have been working at narrowing this down and can now confirm that the delay occurs on tasks that fire "when conditions are met" - in version 3 there is now a 2 or 3 second delay before the task, for which a condition comes true, actually runs. I have downgraded back to Housebot 2.32 and ...

HouseBot 3.0 Performance?

Hi Scott, I upgraded to your latest and greatest last week - thanks for all your hard work! I was wondering though if you were aware if any of the changes you've implemented in 3.0 could be the cause of a noticeable performance drop in Housebot to event responses. I've noticed that lights that previ...

Thanks guys for your replies. It seems there's not much to be done about the speed then, but I guess I can live with that!

X10 one second delay between commands

Hi, Has anyone noticed the one-second delay that occurs between X10 commands? I have some VBScript that sends a large number of X10 commands out to different X10 devices via a CM11 interface, to change whole house lighting scenes. The script runs very quickly, and issues the commands using SetProper...

ImageDup

Hey Scott,

Could you please repost your link to your ImageDup utility if you have a moment? I'm trying to stitch together some cool buttons I've found - the buttons have "up" and "down" versions.

Thanks in advance!

W800 v2.09 fixes both these issues

Scott, A few weeks back you let me have a copy of the W800.dll v2.09, which I have tested and it FIXED both issues: 1) Tests for complement in X10 codes (and completely eliminated the flood of spurious X10 commands I was receiving). RF X10 command reception via W800 in my house is now 100% accurate....

Yes, I agree that may be a great idea. I'm allergic to Photoshop, and any help with some pretty eye candy would be much appreciated!

W800 collisions solved!

Thanks Scott, This solved the problem perfectly - I was getting more than 300 false X10 commands, mostly during the night - so many in fact that I was about to disconnect the W800 permanently and try find a different wireless solution. With the new DLL, there are now ZERO false commands. Cheers, Andre

W800 collision

Hi Scott,

I'm delighted to hear you've got your baby back!

Please can you re-attach your modified W800 plug-in to this thread? I'd like to try it to see if it reduces the false signals my W800 picks up during the night - not fun when the lights starts acting up at 3 am ;)!

Thanks in advance.

Scott,

The resource doesn't look like much more than a parameter, in a format similar to a registry key, except that it is compiled. I've emailed you the modified SWRemote.exe.

Cheers,

Andre

Here is a VGA aware version of SWRemote

Scott, I was also experiencing the problem of backgrounds and foreground images not appearing in my theme on my Dell Axim X50v PDA, but the theme would work perfectly on a Windows XP machine. Using this procedure I have created a modified version of the ARM version of SWRemote.exe that is now VGA-aw...
