Frequent crashes
I am getting quite a few crashes for some time now. It appears that the exceptions are occurring during some sunset tasks (basically just turning on a few insteon lights) that i have had for some time. I have perused the log files and i don't see any commonality. I will send the log files.

Re: YouTube CeBotics Housebot IPod Touch Interface Demo
Yes that's correct. Although i wouldn't consider it on par with the SWRemote.......One thing worth mentioning is that you really need to be sure and dispose of the com control object properly when you are done with it in your code or else it will cause problems that would eventually require a restar...

Re: YouTube CeBotics Housebot IPod Touch Interface Demo
Sorry to be so long in responding to this. I have been on vacation for a while and am still catching up ...... I am using the com control object to create aspx files for controlling my devices with the ipod touch. This means that you will need to have an webserver to host the asp files. The help fil...

Insteon SDM not starting
For some weird reason, today when i start HB the SDM isn't starting with it. This leaves me without any control of lighting at all. I have some other apps that are apparently having the same issue as the SDM isn't starting with them either. The only app that works right now with the SDM is the Smart...

Re: Girder 5

Re: Girder 5
At first i just renamed it. Then, thinking as you suggest, i actually moved it, restarted HB and it's still there. I am not at home right now, but i will try restarting again this evening when i get home. It was rather late when i got home last night so i may have missed the second restart but i don...

Re: Girder 5
The new Girder Bridge is working great. The only thing is that when i get to the device selection list to add the Girder Bridge Device, there are two Girder Bridge's listed in the list. I did remove the original from the plugins\devices folder and restarted HB so i don't think it's anything i'm doin...

Re: Girder 5
Yeah, the help file hasn't caught up to the application yet. That really makes learning Girder difficult in my opinion. Anyhooo......A device is just like in HB except that they include interfaces as devices too and it is a little strange in how you add them. Devices in G5, i think, are based on plu...

Re: Girder 5
That's fine. I have run the execute program device and, for the moment, that is working. Thanks for being so responsive. Your support of HB is incredible.

Re: Girder 5
It looks like the easiest way to do this for now is to use the execute program device to run event.exe. Just pass in the command line arguments and then go into girder and drag and drop the event that is captured in the log file to the action that you want to perform.

Re: Girder 5
Before i try that (Turning off UAC caused some issues for me before with anothe app), when i try to send an event with the Girder Bridge device as we now have it (copied and renamed Csevent.exe to ieventc.exe), Housebot hangs in that it leave an instance of ieventc running in the background and i ca...

Re: Girder 5
The error was generic, due to an error the property did not change....but, i fixed that. I had an error in my path to ieventc. However, no events are being generated in girder's log window when i set the event string. I have a feeling that this may be related to Vista's UAC. I cannot run the command...

Re: Girder 5
I'm not having any luck with renaming the csvent.exe file to ieventc.exe. HB keeps giving me an error. The command - ieventc localhost 20005 girder hello 18 payload - runs fine from a command prompt. I know that i am missing something.......
