Solved.

Changed the address to another one. i think it was getting confused by other close addresses. Works like a charm now.

Yep, both are enabled. I dont understand your question about the state change. When I change the state of the Device, nothing happens to the light. Unless it is in this task of 3 other state changes to 3 other modules, then it switches on ok,

All, i am having quite a weird problem. I have an X10 light controller set to A3 for my house lights. It functions correctly from the wall switch and the X10 controller in the room. When I try and operate it with housebot it won't operate. It will not respond to a power state change on the device in...

That has now installed the dll correctly. I still have the annoying ActiveX dialog box pop up every time I try and do anything though. If anyone has any ideas how to remove that I will be grateful!

I have taken the plunge and installed Housebot (eval version) on the Vista Media Centre machine which has now caused it to work.

I now just have the annoying activeX dialog box that comes up anytime you want to do anything. Anyone know any good hacks to get rid of this?

When you run the script if you get ... ActiveX Component can't create object This would mean that the HBControlMod.dll has not been correctly registered on the pc. I cannot find that Control on my PC anywaher, certainly not in the Program Files/Housebot/plugins/devices where I would expect it. What option have I forgotten and where can I download it from now I have installed?
