Re: Wrong Serial Number

Good afternoon Scott,

I have sent you a couple of messages already, without any response.

I may have screwed up in trying to send messages, have you received any yet ?

Please let me know either way.

Thanks

Re: Is Housebot dead ??? Last release April 2009

Dom, I have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. If you only require basic Home Automation capability Housebot is actually very well suited for a beginner. What Home Automation software does not require computer knowledge? I have been doing HA a very long time and have been through HomeSe...

Re: The future of HouseBot?!

Hi All, The future of Housebot will depend on its available Plug-Ins. I was reading a earlier message praising the fact that we didn't have to pay much for this software, since we didn't have to pay for all these useless plug-ins. A list of requested plug ins should be made, and a price established ...

Re: Is Housebot dead ??? Last release April 2009

You were wondering if Housebot was dead.

The answer is NO, on the other hand this software is not for the beginner.

You will require a certain amount of computer knowledge and expertise otherwise forget it.

This software will not be for you.

Is it only me ?????

Good evening Folks, " Is it only me " I am starting to wonder, if it is only me that is having all kinds of problems. I feel I am getting dummer by the minute, anytime I try something, which normally doesn't work, but I also end up creating more problems in the process. Guys, you always tr...

Re: ARDUINO I/O card PLUG-IN

I have a crazy question. Was HOUSEBOT introduced in Europe first. I find a greater number of International users, than either American or Canadians. The reason I ask, is because some products are mainly available in Europe or in the US, as a Canadian I have to make sure that the are available to us....

Re: ARDUINO I/O card PLUG-IN

Good day Lostdreamer,

Any problems matching the Aeon Lab stick to HOUSEBOT.

I assume you are located in Europe, your choice of currency being the Euro.

Re: ARDUINO I/O card PLUG-IN

Good afternoon LostDreamer, From what I understand, something to do with slight exageration of the product feature, not so reliable in the beginning. Maybe a push for sales from eager sales person. Either way, I am seriously considering Z-Wave in my choice of product. When you switched over from X-1...

Re: ARDUINO I/O card PLUG-IN

Hey Tim, Since I don't have a ton of modules I could change over, but the question still is " Insteon or Z-Wave, I keep reading horror stories from both side of the fence. I liked the Insteon Icon modules because of the price, and since my requirements aren't to agressive I figured they would b...

Re: ARDUINO I/O card PLUG-IN

Steve, Steve, what is the actual purpose of the shield, that Arduino keeps mentionning in their documentation? What I liked about the Arduino cards in the first place, is the number of inexpensive sensors, I was blown away by the types, you name them they have, if they don't, then you don't need it....

Re: ARDUINO I/O card PLUG-IN

Hey Guys,

Richard it makes sense what you're saying about HB doing the math. but how complex are we talking about, you are most likely writting script?

Tim, in reading your message, with the high reliability rate you have, I assume use another protocol than X-10 ?

Re: ARDUINO I/O card PLUG-IN

Good morning Steve, Lost Dreamer, Tim, Steve, I can sympathize, I am in the same boat, I just retired, I still have a trike to complete, I have been on it for about 4 years already only working on weekend on that project. Home Automation, I like the bells and whistles like everybody else, but I do n...

Re: ARDUINO I/O card PLUG-IN

Hi Guys, I checked the Vellmans card and the Phidgets card, take my word for it I am no expert but I find these cards a little expensive if you compare with Arduino, but I think I know why. The Arduino card is open source hardware and software, they originated in Italy and are still available from t...
