Thanks for you explanation/solutions. I am going for number two! It seems to work well as long as no one in my house switches the lights on then off too quickly which is highly unlikely.

Hi All, My setup is coming along well however I have come across a little niggle that I would like to try and sort. Richard thanks for the reply, how do you set up the swremote to fill the iphone screen correctly, or do you have to change the server screen size??

Ok, so probably just best to set up a swremote on a machine and install a VNC server and the get a VNC viewer for iphone.
