Dakkar, I've had a quick look at the Marmitek info on their website and in the UK resellers' websites for the same module, but unfortunately there isn't enough detail to be sure. I can only suggest that you e-mail Marmitek and ask them if the LW12 module responds to same extended X10 dimming command...

Housebot and X10 in the UK

Impact, I think your question raises a few issues. Firstly the Meedio remotes are bundled with the Essentials product, not Housebot. Housebot can accept commands from various types of remote, but is a generic tool. You'll have to configure it carefully to get your X10 devices to respond to remote co...

Intastella, exactly which of the Marmitek X10 dimming modules are you using? I'm asking because a number of the European mfr's do implement Leviton style dimming commands (extended X10) - for example the LD11 DIN rail unit available in the UK responds well to 'Leviton' dim to set level commands - yo...

Scott, I finally got some time to quickly test the updated plugin, and it is much more reliable, thankyou. I made a clean install of v1.6 and then copied over the new plugin. When I first fired it up I got 100% OK results from one of my X10 transmitters, but a few (maybe 10%) read errors from my TM1...

Dimming

Martijn,

Could you tell us exactly the model/type of dimming module you are using. Some of the European modules support extended dimming.

CM11 error

Scott, I'm getting the same behaviour. I'm using the UK version of the CM11 (the CM12), I don't know if the difference in timings on a 50Hz mains line might be important. Martijn - are you on a 50 or 60Hz mains? I get the error when a remote transmitter sends data onto the line that is picked up by ...

Jean-Michel, please be aware that the Radio Frquencies approved for X10 signalling in the EU are not the same as in the US. The MR-26a Scott mentions is not compatible with CE approved X10 devices (wrong radio frequency), so if the rest of your RF devices are CE approved unfortunately you cannot use...

X10 Extended Command Dim Levels (leviton etc.)

Scott, I've been experimenting with the leviton dim function in Housebot, using a UK LD11 dimmer. I've found that sending dim levels above 100 (3F hex) allow me to set different dim rates in the LD11 (i.e. I can make the dimmer change setting over longer times). What I really need to understand is t...
