Android SWRemote scaling problem
Hey, I don't know if it's a bug or not, but scaling is not working the way I would expect. I have a theme panel that looks like this after I manually scale it (Scale -> Manual(Pinch Zoom)): https://i.ibb.co/ZmSXSwN/1.jpg After that I lock the scaling (scaling -> Locked). Now when I go to a different...

Re: SWRemote for Noob, or Rasbian (Raspberry Pi)
You can run android on the Pi. So in theory you could do that and just run the android version SWRemote

Re: Windows 10 problems
Hi everyone, Hope you're all doing well. Been a while but just thought I'd report that the FTDI interface also works with Windows 8.1. My old HB PC crashed (no backup of course) so I had to start from scratch. Did the new install on an old Windows 8.1 laptop and it works like a charm. I can also add...

Re: Android software remote not rotating
I tried your suggestion, and it seems to work but the entire remote is wonky. The scaling does not work correctly. What I mean by this is that it does not keep the correct aspect ratio whatever scaling option you choose. It also does not use the correct fonts and it does not show some fields correct...

Android software remote not rotating
Hi all, I just started using the android software remote, but I can't get it to rotate. I tried unlocking the rotation and forcing it to landscape, but no matter what, it's stuck on portrait mode. Rotation on my phone is enabled and other apps work fine. I don't know if it's know bug or not. Any way...

Re: Windows 10 problems
Well, down the rabit hole we go. The new ddl did not work, so I drove to my office to get another USB-> RS232 converter. This time a bog standard FTDI one. The idea was to null-modem it to the other one to see what was actually sent over the RS232 line. As expected, nothing was sent, not even the st...

Re: Windows 10 problems
Back with some results from the rs232 packet sniffer. I'll see if I can also find a way to monitor the signal lines, but for now, here is the TX/RX data: First from activehome when I set switch C4 to on: http://i64.tinypic.com/16kup0w.png This seems to be correct, as the switch responds by turning o...

Re: Windows 10 problems
Hi Scott, Back after some testing. I added the data to the registry and copied the new dll to the plugin folder, but nothing really changed. Here is what I get: Copy dll. Add DWORDS with value X (tried different valus) to registry -> reboot -> run housebot -> Set Enabled to Yes (defaults to No every...

Re: Windows 10 problems
Hi Scott, The IPC error pops up in a freshly install of housebot, so download->install->run for first time->IPC error. But I assume that has nothing to do with the serial issue, so I will let that go for now. Regarding the driver settings, I'm not sure what you mean. In windows hardware manager I ca...

Windows 10 problems
Hi, I just installed Housebot on windows 10 and it is not working. The problem seems to be in the serial interface. I use a USB->serial converter that is working fine with housebot on a windows XP machine. When I start housebot, all checks out and the serial interface is found and initialized (I can...

Task not stopping
Hi, I have two Marmitek DIN rail X10 switches, C4 and C5. They are defined as appliance modules.I have a task that looks like this: Set C4 power state to on delay 1000ms Set C5 power state to on The task executes the 2 commands when you right click and select "run task", but after that, it...

Re: SMTP (again)
Hi Scott, I assume you mean the dump file I posted in the POP3 post? Ah, well that's to bad. As for the SMTP, this is really strange because in the help file there is also no mention of a username, password and server port field. (tried deleting and making a new device multiple times btw) All the fi...

Re: X10 interface for 240V 50Hz
I assume any 230 Volt interface will work, like the Marmitek CM11? My line voltage is 230 Volts nominal, but sometimes can be as high as 238 volts (measured), and the interface is just fine. I believe that all 230 Volts mains equipment needs to be able to work (read: not get damaged) up to a continu...

POP3 crash
Hallo Scott, The email features seems to be a bottle neck in my installation of housebot. I can create a pop3 device, and it works well. However, after housebot is unable to connect to the server once or twice, it crashes, no exception. The number of connection fails it takes to crash it are random,...

Re: SMTP (again)
Scott, This does not seem to work, I still get an error that I need to select an item from the list. Below I attached an image (i hope) of the list of items I can select, and the error I get when I type in "yes". I also found out that there is no way to enter a username and password, so it...
