Default device property

Post by acheslow »

In the object tree when I click on Devices it will show all of my devices on the right-hand side with columns for Name, Default Property, State, and Group.

Is there a way to change which property is shown in the Default Property column?

Thanks

You probably can do it by changing the data in the access tables, but you need to have ms-access installed.

If you have, first make a backup of the file C:\Program Files\HouseBot\Config\HBdata.mdb. Then, Double-click it to run ms-access and open it. Find the device in the 'Devices' table and memorize its ID. Then open the 'DevicePropertymap' table and locate that ID. You should recognize the properties associated with that device. Change the 'Default' field from 1 to 0 for the old property, and from 0 to 1 for the property that you wish to be the new default.

If you don't have ms-access, email me.
