I would love to see the ability to import setups, like what we see in Girder's GML files. This would give us the ability to share what we've done and save some of us more "confusable" types alot of frustration.
I don't know if it's possible, but It would be great. Plus it would help give us some examples to help learn HouseBot.
Once I get my head around it, I will do my best to supply a theme or two.

I agree that the configuration needs work in that area. The application doesn't really have much of a 'user' model. The UI is not much more than the visual representation of the architecture.
I would like to have another layer that better integrates (at least) Devices and Hardware Interfaces. particularly in the cases where there is a 1:1 between the two. I'd like to see that in the next major version, but I'm still working on getting the first version out right now
