Ok...came home to a non-functional server. Windows XP (Pro) won't allow me to log in. It states there is insufficient system resources or some such. Starting in Safe Mode is hit-or-miss as well. I am currently transfering all critical files to the secondary HD. I tried creating a new user in Safe Mode and then logging in but no joy. HouseBot won't start because the IP server can't start so I dunno if I can do a config back-up yet. It's been a little bit since I did one, but not much has changed (hopefully). I don't relish putting in all of those hex codes again. I was going to work on a new theme this weekend, too.
Technology is killing me!!

Server Failure: Help Needed
If you can copy everything from the HouseBot "config" directory and all sub-directories underneath, you should be able to restore the HouseBot config later and not really lose anything. There will be a few settings that you may need to setup again (things from the settings menu), or if you have scripts somewhere other than the scripts directory.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Scott
Thanks Scott. I transferred all my music files as well as the HB folder over to the secondary HD. I am currently reformatting the primary HD and will then proceed to reinstall Windows XP (and then upgrade to SP2....and then upgrade to all the crap they released after that....ughhhh).
Oh...and I gotta find my HouseBot key....darnit, this was supposed to be a relaxing weekend.
