Access SWRemote over the internet...

I seem to be having some difficulty in accessing my SWRemote from outside of my lan. I have opened the ports necessary to gain access to my HB server from outside of my lan. I have searched the forums, but i am not finding what i need. Thanks.

If you have port 5015 open, that should be all you need. What kind of error messages are you seeing?

Try and telnet to the same port and see if that works (just to connect)

I opened the wrong port! One other question...I am using the web browser script and i had to open a port in an external control for that to work. I f i wanted to require a password to access the swremote via the internet should i use another external device control with port 5015 and a password in the server password field?

Never mind this. I am an idiot!! I found it under the Software Remote's first setup page.....Thanks Scott for this AWESOME product.....
