I created a new Generic Serial device for my receiver and created the commands for it.
I added the new device and mapped the commands for the first property which was selection of the input mode, ie vcr1,vcr2 etc. I clicked on the next property to map commands and HB blew up.
I restarted it and tried to get back to the properties of the receiver device but no mater which property I click on except for log it blows up.
I went into the database and removed everything I could find to do with the device and restarted and added it back. Same thing. selecting any property but log blows it up.
The Dump file had this.

Scott,
I backed up my ddf and hdf files then removed most of the items from both. I then did some database cleanup and then restarted HB. I'm back up and running at this point and have added most things back into the .ddf and .hdf files. It is still working ok at this point. All is back except for some of the items in the the .hdf file. I will be adding some back a little at a time. I wonder if this is something to do with a reserved character maybe?
