Hey Forumer,
In my living room I have a fujitsu touchscreen and it have winamp on it, which I use as a remote for my HB configuration.
I have winamp on my server, which is controlled of course by HB. The Question I have is, is there a way to control the winamp program on a client (remote) computer, as well as on the server. Or do I have to install HB on the Remote Computer and have it control the “Local” winamp program.
I want HB to control the winamp on my remote control touchscreen. By the way the touchscreen is dock at all time. I have Ir AV switch that changes the Audio/Video input direction on my music. I really want to start opening up the zone controls on my whole music player.
I hope this makes sense.
Scott indicated that Winamp can be controlled by command-lines which might be the way to go.
Any suggestion will be Appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
Local Winamp Control for Remote? Is it possible
Re: Local Winamp Control for Remote? Is it possible
Check this out. (http://www.flippet.org/wacommand.html).
Maybe that utility combined with creating Tasks to "Execute Application" on the SWRemote.
There's also this WinAmp plugin (http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/58602)

Another Dumb question,
How do you CMD (command-line) another network computer?

If you have a SWRemote running on the other computer where you want to control WinAmp, you can create a Task that with an 'Action' that will 'Control Remote' and 'Execute Application'. The application would be the WinAmp control program and your can specify the particular command line arguments when you configure the Task. You may need to create multiple Tasks to cover all of the control options.
The only trick that I can see is making sure you are controlling the right SWRemote. If you only have one, you can just configure the Task to control "All Remotes". If you are using a SWRemote on the touchscreen that will cause the Task to be executed, you can specify "Calling Remote".

If this works out will I will configure all 3 of my docked fujitsu touchscreen. And that will really open up my zone control for my music players. I will keep you posted.
