Using Winamp for streaming audio?

Post by Steve Horn »

Anyone using Winamp via HB interface to play streaming audio from a URL? I can manually launch Winamp on the HB server, do a File/Play/URL and enter the URL of a known station that is streaming its audio signal, and listen that way. But I don't know how to set that up using a HB panel or controls and utilize the Winamp Agent. Ideally, there would be either a button control for any of several stations, or maybe a list box to select from. But I'm not sure how to pass the resulting selected URL string to Winamp.

I'm using a Winap device to listen my favourite radio stations. So in my theme I defined Property Change Buttons for them, where at Property Change Properties window, Property Change tab, Device: Winamp, Property: Play Source and New Value: the required URL, for example: http://smoothjazz.com/streams/smoothjazz_128.pls
