Assertion error

Post by HeinrichH »

When I'm starting up HouseBot I get a serie of errors, devices assigned at view "Slaapkamer 1" give's the error, see attachment.
Also a view is missing, I created a view called "Slaapkamer 1" and now this view is missing and I can't create it anymore.

Anybody an idea how to repair this? The devices are still working

The message indicates that it thinks a Device is a member of a View that it can't find. To fix this, you will either need to modify the HBData.mdb file yourself with MS Access, or you can send it to me at [email protected] and I will try and resolve it.

I am unable to fix your database to resolve this issue. The problem is due to the fact that the particular nesting of views is not being handled well by the server when loading. You could flatten the view hierarchy to resolve this for now.

I have fixed the server for the next release to resolve this problem.

How do I do that? How can I remove a view that I can't see anymore?

You're right. That would be difficult. I can either update your configuration file for you, or you can just wait until the next release (hopefully within a week).

Scott,

The assertion error's are gone now. I've deleted the view with MS Acces and deleted the devices that coused the errors in HouseBot. After that I restarted HouseBot and added the view and devices again, Housebot is running without errors now.
