X10 Power State Problems

Post by mrichmond007 »

All,

i am having quite a weird problem. I have an X10 light controller set to A3 for my house lights. It functions correctly from the wall switch and the X10 controller in the room. When I try and operate it with housebot it won't operate. It will not respond to a power state change on the device in Housebot.

However, I have a task set up that switches the power state on or off of each of my light controllers in turn, and this works!

Why will it not operate on a single state change but when used in a task with others it works?

Help !? :?

Is the device and or interface enabled?
How is the state change set up?

Yep, both are enabled. I dont understand your question about the state change. When I change the state of the Device, nothing happens to the light. Unless it is in this task of 3 other state changes to 3 other modules, then it switches on ok,

Cheers,

Try deleting from the task the other two modules to see if it turns on. It looks like the module you are trying to turn on is really responding to a different address. One that is probably set on the other two devices in the task.

Solved.

Changed the address to another one. i think it was getting confused by other close addresses. Works like a charm now.
