The Housebot hardware compatibility list includes a link to this device
http://www.controlthink.com/accessories/zwusb100.htm
I have one. The model number is CTZUS-1US . It is working with Control Think's software,
but Housebot does not recognize it. It comes not as an emulated COM port, but as a HID-Compatible
device.
What am I missing ? If Housebot is not compatible with this z-wave controller, which one
is the best one to use ?
Thanks

Re: Z-wave and ControlThink ThinkStick
There is a plugin for the Wayne Dalton WD HD-10. The ControlThink is just a branded version of that hardware so it should work. However, the plugin was written a while back and the firmware in the devices have been updated. I have heard several reports that there are some issues with the current HouseBot plugin. Users have found that dropping back to the 4.27 version of the firmware seems to work ok.
HouseBot should recognize it as a HID device. There are no other drivers needed.

Re: Z-wave and ControlThink ThinkStick
I'm sorry, I'm still having trouble getting housebot to see the thinkstick z-wave device; I assume that when I add a hardware interface, the thinkstick zwave usb device should be listed as an option, but it isn't. I also notice that C:\Program Files\HouseBot\Plugins\ does not contain a zwave dll (or should it)?
Ztool and ThinkEssentials, and the ThinkStick update tool can all see the device. Housebot is the only package that cannot.
Trying to decide if I should go with Housebot or not.
Thanks.
I am running 3.30.02 in free trial mode.

When you add a hardware interface, you should see an option for "Z-Wave WD USB Hardware Module". Confusing, I know, but the WD (Wayne Dalton) is the interface you need. If you don't see it in the list, run the setup program again and be sure to install it.

Nope, there is no Z-Wave device in the list. The only things in the list are: ADI Ocelot, Insteon, Modem, NetCallerID, Powerlink V2, and X10

Re: Z-wave and ControlThink ThinkStick
Reinstall HB and make sure during installation you have selected the Z-wave hardware interface. You should have a screen at install that has all of the available plugins shown with a check box next them.
