Hi,
I have looked on Group, but can't find an answer.
When we download an updated version of HouseBot do we install over the top of our current version or remove it, then install?
What do we have to do to keep out current "setup" and install it in new version?
Anything else we should be aware of?
Thanks
Gary
Installing an updated HouseBot version, best way to do it?
Gary,
Good question. You can install new versions over existing versions. Your existing configuration will be used with the new version. If there are system database changes, they are dynamically applied to your existing database, so you won't have to reconfigure everything.
It's advisable to make sure you backup your existing configuration before installing. You can do this from the main 'File/Backup Configuration' menu.
I'm hoping to have my last update of the year later this week. So if you were planning on installing a version now, you might want to wait a couple of days.
