hi,

i´d like to use housebot for controlling all my "hifi/tv"-stuff.

that is:

pc/meedio via wlan

tc via ir

amp via ir

beamer via ir

i have a dell axim x3i pda with wlan, bluetooth and ir.

well i am pretty sure, that housebot will be able to control my pc/meedio.

but is it possible to directly send ir-commands to my amp or tv?

tia for your help

You'll have to buy the USB-UIRT device which is supported by a HouseBot plugin to send and receive IR. Google UIRT to find it.

hi Circe640,

what do i need that usb-uirt for?

the pc should be controlled via wlan.

an tv, amp, beamer via ir from the pda directly.

the question for me is: can housebot send ir-commands to tv, amp and beamer?

tia

The tv amp and beamer cannot be controlled from the pda directly from housebot afaik.

That is correct, HouseBot cannot use the PDA IR. It can only use the HouseBot PC attached IR supported devices - USB-UIRT, GC-100 or Ocelot.

The PDA only runs a HouseBot remote client, that is effectively a thin client to the HouseBot PC server.
