multiple generic serial modules

I have two hardware interfaces set up using the generic serial module. The first one I did works great. However, when creating a device to use the second hardware interface, I can't see any of the commands I created. What's going on?
UPDATE: quit and re-started the application and now I can see them. Change this from a question to an informal bug report.
