IR Codes...Assigning to Buttons

I am having some problems using HouseBot with the USB-UIRT. My problems are in regards to assigning IR codes to buttons in my theme.



I have:



- Added remotes to the Remote Control Library

- Went into Hardware Interfaces, selected USB-UIRT, and went into "More Configuration"

- I learned in several IR codes for various devices



Now I want to go into my theme and create buttons to send IR codes. For example, Play, FF, Rewind, Menu, etc. So I went in and added a button, selected Property Change Button, and then it asks me to select a device. This is where I am getting confused.



So, I go add a Device...say DVD Player. I am confused on how the best way to set this up. I right-clicked and selected Add Property. I add the "Send IR Command" property.



Next, I click on the "Send IR Command" property in the directory tree to teh left (under DVD Player.) I think I now need to assign these to property values. The problem is that I want to assign an IR code, say Rewind, to something. But there is not a Rewind property value....If I assign it to something random, say "left" then I can add that to a button and it will work. However, I can see this becoming incredibly confusing.



Please Help!!!

I don't know if this will be pointing you in the correct direction but try this,

When you have created your Device say DVD then you "Add Property", select A/V status, double click on this and select IR Codes, then map your learnt codes to the commands and set up your buttons property change for A/V status and then select your IR command.
