Hello,



I have a problem with dynamic images on my web tablet. I'm using the weather script and images required by this script. When I switch to weather panel I can see the images for a few seconds, after that images are disappearing randomly one after another. Some images remain on screen and some don't. Every time I switch between panels different images disappear. If I minimize the window and maximize it again the disappeared images reappear.



I'm using:

- HouseBot version 2.22

- Web Tablet: DT370, Coraccess

- Operating system: Windows CE .NET, Version 4.10 (Build 908)

- Software remote: HPC2000-Arm



When I browse the same theme on my PC with "local software remote" and with "software remote" everything works ok.

It sounds like they are not on the top layer and they are being covered up as the layers are be drawn.

I actually have the same problem with text fields. Specificly a caller log. It seems totally random.

I forgot to mention that black rectangles are drawn on screen when images disappear.



I checked the xml file in text editor. There were more image entries than images on the panel. I deleted those entries but it still doesn't work. Now the images are disappearing one after another in the same order. Only the one image remains. The order of disappearing images is allways the same and is not affected by the layer number of the image.



I have 9 images on the panel. I checked the layer numbers of the images, they go from 1 - 9. Is this ok?

Try not using the transparent background for the text fileds. I had similar problem once and this helped.

I've heard of this problem with Property Labels also, but have never been able to reproduce it. It seems like a timing issue that is only seen on hardware with different CPU/speeds (slower perhaps). I'll continue to try and reproduce it now with dynamic images.

That's fine. Layer numbers are only really relevant if you have overlapping images.

I've also tried viewing dynamic images on HP5550 IPAQ PDA. Problem is the same as with Coraccess web tablet. Images dissapear and black rectangles are drawn over them. Works fine on server pc running housebot and on other pcs on the home network.

I was able to reproduce this problem with dynamic images on my PocketPC if I am using the same image on multiple image controls.

Some image controls use the same image file. I'm using the weather script, so if the weather is the same for more days then the images are the same. I tried manualy setting the images to different file names, but even then black rectangles are drawn ower pictures.

I think I've found the problem. Try the attached version of the HPC2000-Arm SWRemote and let me know how it works for you.

The images now work ok, but i found another problem with this new version of software remote. I have a task wich opens a panel on all remotes, when someone activates the door bell. The new remote program freezes when a new panel should be open. The new panel is not fully drawn and the program stops responding. This didn't happen with old version of software remote.

That's a side effect of the fix. Although the problem was fairly simple, the solution is a little more difficult. I've updated the .zip file in the previous post in this thread with a new version that will hopefully fix the issue. Download it and let me know how it works.

I have a 'System Time' label that disappears from time to time from the ViewSonic AirPanel.

Do you have a fix for that too (Winx86 software remote)?

All the fixes the I have so far are in the 2.22 release.
