Hello.

I want to use a pc with housebot in a small application with just a couple I/Os. (sense a couple of switches and control some devices) .

Have anybody written or plan to do a parallell port interface in housebot?

it would be easy and cheap to connect switches ( maybe thru opto couplers) and solidstate relays to the parallell port.

tnx for feedback on this.

Look at Phidget interface kits... The have an USB 8 input board and you get outputs and analog controls for free.
