This issue is not directly related to HouseBot.
I'm looking for good looking in-wall keypads, with at least 6 keys.
They will be used as inputs for HouseBot.
It should be a very simple unit - only low-current contact closure push buttons.
The important thing is that is should look good.
If you know any, please give links.
Thank you

I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. Lots of companies make nice little LCD touchscreens. Some have contact or logic outs, others are strictly IR out. The IR isnt a problem though. Just use a device like a USBUirt to receive the commands, then address each ir code to run whatever task you want in HB.
Some of these can be pricey, but they are graphically driven, so you can change the appearance howerver you wish.
Short of that, I havent seen many pads that are simple contact closure....
Now that PPCs are coming down in price, you could flush a PPC into the wall just about everywhere!
Companies like Russound have decent pads, but again IR output based, and generally are configured for mulit-room audio.
Check out this one

Sonance has some nice pads too. This one can operate without any of their expensive controllers.

Just needs an IR connecting block.....

I am looking for keypads that will communicate directly with the controllers I'm using.
I want to be able to turn on the lights even when the computer is down!
So the need is for a simple contact closure sexy keypads.
Why are they so hard to find?
