"Hazy" is a good description for how I see it at this point. Please don't expect things to shift into high gear now that it is no longer under Meedio's control. I will definitely provide more support and updates than the last two years, but things will still be slow.

However, here are my hazy intentions for the near future.
  • Get back to development on the Insteon plugin. I need to add X10 support for the new PowerLinc and also add functionality to send group commands.
  • Look into memory enhancements for the SW Remotes. I'm thinking that they should be able to share common image resources (like backgrounds and buttons) between panels. I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to make this enhancement, but I want to look into it soon.
I'm sure others have pent-up feature requests as well. I mainly prioritize things based on:
  1. Is it something that a large % of the current users will be able to use
  2. Can I actually develop it. Sounds silly, but if someone wants support for some odd piece of hardware that I don't own, it's going to be very difficult and therefore low on the list.

See and thats what we love about you mate.

I asked, you replied. and that is exactly what a lot of us are after mate, just a "Hazy Idea" as to what your looking at if you can do it or not, we know your looking and working on something.

Cant ask for anymore than that from you and i think that was spot on. A more down to earth approach.

Thanks

well, all I can say is thank god, as an old user, I came to the conclusion that meedio could care less about us. when my install bomebed due to a fried hd this past winter, I just resorted to remote controls rather than deal with an attitude of indifference. THANK YOU SCOTT for doing the right thing, housebot is too good to wither on the vine.
