A few ideas...

1. Would it be hard to add the ability to use formatting similar to sprintf formatting to the %% formatting used in the serial plug-in? That would give much greater functionality to the plug-in.

2. Support for non-rectangular buttons. For instance, transparent areas are a not clickable part of the buttons. possibly adding a z-order to objects which would allow clicking through transparent areas to objects underneath. This would allow us to be a little more creative in designing graphical elements. Maybe even adding the ability for a change to a property to change button z-order -- more of a brainstorming thought.

3. An RSS or XML feed plug-in.

4. An TCP/IP plug-in that works similar to the serial plug-in.

All great ideas. Right now I'm just playing catch-up for the last two years of overdue fixes and gaping holes. These may make it into a future feature enhanced release.
