i m currently using a mac mini as my media center, was able to use bootcamp to go to window. the problem is that mac mini do not have com port. so is there any way to control CM11A module via usb? my CM11A come with a usb connector

No offense to Housebot as I love the app, but as far as windows on the iMac - why are you trying to dress up a race horse to look like a donkey?

Look in to http://www.perceptiveautomation.com/ind ... ml] Indigo from perceptive home automation. It's native on the iMac and an awesome HA app. You can also find several decent media-center style apps for the MAC.

If you’re stuck on defiling the lovely iMac with Windows then you may want to look into getting the Insteon USB controller as it has an X10 mode and from other reports works much better as an X10 controller than the CM11A.
