Has anyone set up an RFXCOM USB transmitter with Housebot?

http://www.rfxcom.com/

I´m interested in using one of these transmitters to control my Nexa lighting modules. Does anyone have any info on RFXCOM?

Anyone? Is it simply a matter of using the generic serial interface?

If it's the USB version of the device, I don't think you will be able to use the generic serial interface, since that will only communicate over the COM port.

Ok, It says on the website it´s compatible with housebot, but when I asked their support how to make the transmitter work with housebot, they didn´t know how. Strange.

Well it may be, I don't know. They have a script on the site for interfacing with HomeSeer that was using the COM port. So maybe if you use a virtual com port, it would work.

If you can get the HouseBot generic serial interface to connect to it, you should be able to get it to work. The generic serial interface is fairly flexible.

The only news is that I'm still investigating it. I've recently been in contact with the RFXCOM guys about developing support for it, but nothing has been developed yet.

That´s good news, I´m really interested in their transmitter and would love for it to work from housebot.
