Context ID Question for PDA

Hello Forumer,

I want to know if anyone has this problem. I have been using touchscreen around my house and then I decided I wanted to enter into the PDA arena. So I purchased a 2 Dell Axim x50V. Made a theme for the PDAs. But the label I use for the context does not display

On the Change panel button, I inputed my Context ID (as I have done with all my touch screens).
Placed a remote label of the panel of choice.
I then have the remote label "Display the Current Context"

But the Context on the pda never shows.
I ran the theme on my touch screen and the context ID shows on the touchscreens.

I am missing something, can PDAs display Current Context?

Yes they can.

I'd suggest two things:
  1. Check back on the Theme editor on the server to make sure the context name was saved on the button.
  2. Make sure you are using the latest version of the software remote on the PDA.

The Context ID is on the button. But the context does not show on PDAs. I am using the new SWRemote for the PDAs.
It is strange because when I use the SWRemote for the touch screens (all the touchscreens have window 2000 or XP OS on them) the context shows up, even with the "PDA theme" I am having a question about. Does Window Mobile 2003 se (the OS on the PDA) missing some dll, or something that regular Windows (98, win2000, XP) has installed?

Is there some one that is using Context ID on their PDA?

Strange because there's nothing really OS specific in the context logic. That's why I was wondering if it was just an old version of the SWRemote that didn't support the context feature.

I'll see if I can duplicate it here. Is there anything special about what type of control you are using the context with?

Nothing out of the ordinary. I just added a change panel button on to a panel. Inputted "Master Bdrm Lights" in the Context ID. The change panel button opens the lighting adjustment panel. Added a Remote Label. Selected "Current Context". The header at the top is suppose to say "Master Bdrm Lights" but it shows nothing on the pda.

Let me know if yours works Scott

It was a bug. It will be fixed in the next update.
