I'm wondering if this device might eventually work with HouseBot since it runs CE.
They claim it replaces a light switch with a touch screen, programmable I believe. I don't see anything on scenes capability, etc. It's sort of interesting, nevertheless, since it replaces a light switch with a touch screen in the same space.

Comobec Moonshine Key Pad????
Re: Comobec Moonshine Key Pad????
According to the developer, any app that runs on CE should be fine. Scott supports quite a few processor platforms so it's probable that it would work fine. I've been watching this for a while - the videos and stills are impressive, but I"ll hold judgment until I see an actual shipping product, at a reasonable price point. IMO it will need to come in around $100-$150 USD to be considered a viable replacement for Insteon/UPB keypads. Any more than that and you start to get into competition with larger CE devices like the CUWIN stuff which is probably the best bang-for-your-buck in-wall mini touchscreens these days...
Realistically, one could velcro an iPod touch or CE-PDA to the wall and get the same thing
- Seriously though, I've often thought about modifying a double-gang box and wall plate to house a HP iPaq or something. I've even got a donor iPaq to use, just haven't found the play-time yet...

I think the retail price point is going to be $150, but that's probably not etched in stone until they get it on the market.
