I've used Insteon for years with the USB PLC. I've never been able to get linking to work. Each switch appears to link with the PLC (correct light flashing, etc), but the PLC doesn't appear to tell Housebot and the status never changes for the HB device. I assume others have this working?
More to the point, I gather the dual band USB PLM is altogether a better choice and that more people have linking working with this unit than the PLC. Can anyone confirm this before I make the switch? I'm aware from other posts of the Keylinc related linking issues, but I don't have a Keylinc so no worries. From prior posting, I've seen that the SDM isn't needed with the PLM, but saw someone using SDM+PLM. Do I use SDM+PLM or not?
