VBScript and HB

In a quick look to try to determine why my THC Jukebox no longer works on a new Win11 box (still havent figured it out) I read they MS is deprecating VBScript from Win11 and beyond and will be totally gone by 2027. Not sure how this affects HB functionality, so I’m posing that question. The only thing that I have that is VBS (that I know of) is the THC Jukebox, which i love and miss dearly, since the Win11 box move. But thats a post for another time.

I'm not sure what the THC Jukebox is (probably not a THC/cannabis product that comes up in the search), but it's not too surprising. There's a chance they may not deprecate JScript and maybe it could be ported to JScript.

THC Jukebox was written by a HB user many years ago. Ive forgotten his name, (although I may have it in files somewhere. You/i could probably find references to it in the forum. (edit: Incoronado maybe?) i tried to tie its creation to Richard Naninck at one point but he said it wasnt his work. AFAIK, it’s all VBScript but relies on a music player “device” and the Winamp agent to do the heavy lifting. Backend SQLite db for songs, genres, etc.
And that would lead me to my next question: what are folks using to play MP3s via HB control? Jukebox was/is Great for that.
