Re: HB mobile clients - what are you using?
Just thought some of you maybe interested in this 5" CE device http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=286831. Picked one up a couple of weeks ago, battery life isn't great but can't really complain for 70 quid.

Re: HouseBot 3.30 User 'Run As' Issue
Pretty much everything that comes from the SWremote is passed on to Girder to control other equipment, so the girder interface is used extensively. When a message from a remote is received the pop-up appears, once the pop-up is OK'd the message gets passed through to girder and is actioned. You've g...

Re: HouseBot 3.30 User 'Run As' Issue
Hi Scott,
I am running XP Pro SP2. I installed the update from 2.31 under an account with full admin rights but had the issue described, so uninstalled and re-installed logged in as the actual administrator, problem remained.

yahoo weather rss plugin
Just downloaded the Yahoo weather plugin from the download section of the main site and the .hbx package doesn't appear to contain the associated images. Can anyone suggest where these may be obtained?

HouseBot 3.30 User 'Run As' Issue
Just upgraded to 3.30 and now, everytime I send a command from a SWremote on another machine I get a pop-up on the HB server asking which user account I want to use to run the program. whatever options I select it pops up again when the next command is received. I have installed using an account wit...

Thanks for your kind offer! To make what i'm trying to acheive a bit clearer, a brief description of my system: I've been running girder for a while now and it takes care of all IR traffic and 232s to lighting systems and relays, etc. Aside from a few timing functions, Housebot basically deals with ...

Thanks for that, its a while since I originally installed housebot but that option sounds vaguely familiar. BTW, I am running Girder alongside Housebot and its currently taking care of a number of 232 devices. Just thought i'd try the housebot offering to keep track of in/out status without too much...

Serial control
I'm currently investigating how to control an Extron Matrix switcher via RS232 from Housebot. I've searched the archives and everthing that I can find alludes to a serial control device being part of housebot as standard. Problem is I can't find it! There is generic serial settings option under sett...

Housebot occasionally disappearing
As per the subject really! Housebot occasionally (3 or 4 times a month) just disappears. Sometimes it can be restarted straight away, other times a restart of the pc is required. When it starts it shows some errors for a couple of properties it cannot find, but I have no idea to what these relate. I...

This is getting a little tricky to explain! Say my tuner only has 4 presets. And in those presets i have 4 different radio stations stored. For sake of argument radio1, radio2, radio3, radio4. Those from the UK will understand! Now, the only commands that i can issue to my tuner are preset up or pre...

Thanks Scott, I follow that, but is there any way of moving the list up/down from the server so that the only thing visible on the remote is the label of the regular property? The problem I have is that I can't select presets directly on my tuner, just up or down, so I can't have the option of selec...
