Can you have dynamic images on a remote screen ?

New to HouseBot - was wondering if you can display dynamic images on a remote screen - for example the cover art of an album or a weather map ?

Something where the image is transferred from the server when displayed.

Yes you can. Check out the 'Sample Theme' that comes with HouseBot. It shows an example of an image that you can dynamically change. You should be able to run the "Local Software Remote" from the HouseBot program group and see the Sample Theme (if you haven't changed the Software Remote configuration).

Fantastic !

I did step through the sample remote but missed that significance - perhaps because it was just a button. Great when a feature you suspect isn't there turns up after all ! This really is a very interesting application

:D

Is the theme/remote used in the screenshots of HouseBot on Meedios site (the red one) available anywhere ?

Yes and no. The Theme is specific to a particular setup, so it's not really very useful to share. However, the skin (collection of control images) can be found here (The red skin). I don't think that skin includes the round transport control images (seen on the screen shots). I remember uploading that somewhere.... but I don't know where.
