WinCE Transparency

Could the WinCE remotes be updated to support transparent images? The help claims that this is not possible, but according to Doug Boling this capability has been in CE since either version 2.x or 3.0. I believe this is as simple as replacing the normal bitmap function with a transparent bitmap function.
