Hi!
I'm looking at Housebot, and I have an architectural question-
From looking at the available descriptions, it sounds like all the hardware devices that are to be controlled must be connected to the Housebot server- as well as all the software devices. . . . other computers can run remote interfaces to the server.
Is this right? Is it possible to control stuff on other PCs? Is it possible to run multiple servers and communicate to them from a single remote interface?
I saw the new connector for Meedio- same question- can Meedio be running on a different computer than Housebot?
Thanks
Markd
Controlling devices on other computers or multiple servers?

Look in the help files for the Device Replicator. You can run multiple HBServers on multiple PC's and replicate all off the devices. With this replicator each HBServer can communicate with the replicated devices on other PC's.
As far as Meedio goes, I think it could be. Meedio stores it's libraries on a server and you could connect to them using your standard shared drives in your network. You can open a MeedioClient Plugin which connects to Meedio. With it you can send and receive messages to control all of Meedio. I think it would be possible to go from HouseBot to Meedio on different PC's. Not sure how this would work if you want to go from Meedio to HouseBot -> meaning if you want to control HouseBot devices from the Meedio GUI.
