I have an X86 SWRemote set up on my server machine that I am accessing via a SmartDisplay (Philips DesXcape). I am running a registry hack to allow simultaneous users on the server, with the server software operating under one user ID and the SWRemote operating under another. I can login from the SmartDisplay and start the SWRemote. However, it continually connects/disconnects from the server (when I view HouseBot->Software Remotes->Active Software Remotes). When this is happening, the remote is basically unresponsive to sending commands to the server. Usually this will "mysteriously" right itself after several hours and the remote functions correctly. However, anytime I have to restart the server or restart that particulary SWRemote I get this problem.
NOTE: This did not happen for a few months after I added the SmartDisplay and server based SWRemote...it is a recent occurence; however, I have done absolutely nothing to my server lately other than update ITunes (which is not always running).
Any help with this is appreciated.

SWRemote looses connection every 2 seconds.
Are you sure you haven't gotten any unsolicited updates from Microsoft lately? I ran the hack for a while and all was well until I got an update from MS. I had forgotten to turn of automatic updates. You might also try the system restore if you don't have it disabled to see if you can go back to when it was working.

@Olser:
Did you add some properties to your theme panels? Probably not since you say you didn't change anything.
@Scott: Referring to my so called status bug (SWRemote entering sleepmode after displaying too many status properties only on a remote PC's SWRemote), it restores itself as well after some time. That part is consistent with Oslers findings.
Probably something else going on here but just thought I had to make the connection with these two problems.

Good ideas and thanks for the replies. I did a server restart when I posted last night and just left the remote attempting to connect to the server software....this morning it works fine and is connected permanently. I have no issues doing simultaneous logins and I do have autoupdate off so I don't think this is a remote access issue. It seems to right itself after a while anyhow...just a minor annoyance. At some point I will remove the SmartDisplay from the server and put it on its own machine...hopefully this will fix the issue. I just thought it strange that a SWRemote on the SAME machine was having trouble connecting to the server software.
