I was trying to export the 2.x DB so I could load into 3.x today and kept running into references to 'deleted devices' but no guidance as to what object has the bad reference.
My thought is an on-demand menu item that would walk dependencies for the selected elements (theme, task, Software Remote) would let us find these things out before the exports and also keep our configs clean.
The result of the dependency walk would a listing of items that had dangling references (including source and target). Maybe even with a ‘quick jump’ shortcut to go into it directly from the listing.
