How Do You Use The PoP3 e mail device

Hi all, was wondering what wild and wonderful ways you use the pop mail device to control/monitor housebot.
I have just got the pop device set up and was looking for inspiration.

At present, I use email and HB to text page me whenever a phone call is received while I am at work. It sends the name and number to my pager. You could do the same with an SMS gateway and your cell phone. This has been a lifesaver on more than one occassion.
