Does HouseBot create a permanent(resident) xmltv.xml file? HouseBot has the ideal scheduler to schedule updating this file as part of its TV listing functions but I would also like to use the file in another app. If it is sticky, what directory does it get created in? For the future, could this be made configurable so it is in a place where it could be shared by other apps?
Thanks
Jim
Does Housebot create permamanent xmltv.xml file?
Jim,
It saves the XML file in the same directory as the XMLTV.EXE file (this is a configuration option). The name of the file is HBListing.xml. After it is created, the data is parsed into an access database called Listings.mdb in the HouseBot Config directory and the original XML file is no longer used.
I suppose it could be configurable, but I think the XMLTV directory should be a good neutral location.
