Documentation forum
Scott, Why not set up a new forum called documentation. The topics for posting here would be 'How to' such as 'how to setup the TV listings process'. Knowledgeable users could add topics on how to setup a particular part of HouseBot that they have experimented with and have running successfully. The object would be to detail out the step by step process to make it work. This would get us around lapses in the internal documentation and allow documentation for new features that are not fully documented yet. It could also serve as the bassis for you to update the internal documentation. If others think this is a good idea please add to this thread! I think this would also save a lot of time answering the same questions that come up repeatedly from new users
That was what I was hoping to do with the Tips, Tricks, FAQ forum, but it's slow to get started. The reality is that generally people come to the forums to find answers and get help. When things are going great, they generally don't stop by and post some helpful info (I don't blame anyone, I don't do that either).
Maybe I need to provide an incentive. Like for each "How To" you add, you get a FREE version of HouseBot
