Here are some screenshots of the Plain Theme (i.e., my interpretation of the one above from Vidabox).

Osler,

Thanks for posting this up. Again, it looks fanstastic.

I shall be building a test PC to get to grips with this, and to add some custom backgrounds of my own. I'll let you know how I get on!

Thanks again, Tony

Just a quick one: the test machine OS is Vista. I cannot get the WSC files (ZonePlayerFinder.wsc) to register. I'm getting this message, and I've been trying to fix for the last two days.

"The loaded Module "C:\Windows\system32\scrobj.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070005"

I've done the basics, all logged in as admin.

Any experiences / suggestions???

I don't use Vista or anything 64-bit so I'm afraid I won't be much help. I found this, though:

http://derek-says.blogspot.com/2007/02/ ... under.html

See if it doesn't help you sort through the problem.

Also see here:

Vista sounds like a real b*tch.

I am having problems performing the import. When I try to import the Plain Theme it starts updating a property on a device and it counts all the way up to 1000 and then the import fails. I am not sure if it has something to do with the saget tv devices. Is there any way just to import the sonos panels?. Thanks in advance.

Saludos,

Victor

I modified the .xml file and I was able to do the import. I had some problems with the script to extract the album art from my library so at the end I decided to keep using the previous version of the script but taking advantage of your graphics I ended up re-designing my Theme. Thanks a lot for sharing your talent with us.

That looks great!!! I love the background image as well. Can you post it for download?

Sorry, I had a wedding to attend this weekend in Seattle and have not had much time since my last post to redo the .hbx. I will get to it...promise.

I'm glad you like the images....you seem to have implemented them with ease!

Hi All,

These screenshots are all really nice. Where you find the rounded corner rectangle buttons? I can't seem to find them in the themes? If you made them, and tips tricks? I especially like the glowing edges...very nice.

Will you make available this theme as a skin in section Downloads/Skins?

edgar:

All of the elements are within the download folder, but perhaps not in the theme. Within the download folder, look for a seperate folder called Plain Theme. That should have all elements I have made for this theme.

menesi

I can. I'll put that on my list of things to do.

I added some new screenshots with a new background that I like even more. I am planning now to add a panel (as Osler did) where you can select the background on the fly to change it every time I get bored with the background. The screenhots are now downloadable just in case somebody wants to do it. I am not including an export since, basically, all the graphics I used are the ones Osler included in his export (except the slider for lighting control) With this set-up you can change the background based on your preferences or decor or you can even change the background depending on the season of the year or holiday, or....

I'm having problems too with the import after the IR codes import - about to tackle editing the XML - any pointers on which parts of the XML file you edited or do I just delete all the stuff related to Sage after these codes ? There's problems with an included Global Cache device too.

.....
Added property value [1000] to property [Channel]
Error processing devices in the import configuration. Import has been aborted.
Unable to find stock hardware interface with name [Global Cache GC-100 module] and description [GC-100 FR]
Unable to find stock device with name [32HF72] and description [32HF72-FR] Make sure plugin is installed

Perhaps you could post your less dependent edited XML file Victor ?

cheers Kevin

I deleted some values from the saget tv device.

Attached find the modified .xml. I changed the extension to hbx to be able to upload it so you will have to change the extension back to .xml.
