Dynamic images on PPC

Post by kbosscawen »

Not sure if this is a bug in HB or a limitation of PPC, or what, but here goes....

I have a theme with a dynamic image on it that I'm using from a PPC. The image on the PPC doesn't change when the underlying property does unless I go to another application on my PPC then back to the theme (as if only when the app is repainted or something). Is this expected? If so, how can I get a dynamic image to update on a PPC (or can I?)?

Thanks.

The image should update automatically on the PPC when the Property changes. Can you provide some details on your setup? Like is the image on a Pop-up or main Panel? Are you using UNC's or straight path names to reference the image? Anything unusual about the configuration?

I'm using v1.61, both the HB server and the PPC, which is a DELL Axim. The panel is a primary panel, nothing in the Enter or Exit lists, and no special button setups. The dynamic image is based on a property that uses the straight path name - The path includes a nework mapped drive.

Interestingly enough, the same theme works fine using the Winx86 software remote. It's just the ARM software remote that's acting this way.

Thanks for your help on this.

An Update: I played around with it a little more, and it worked periodically (not consistently) for a while. But, alas, it's stopped working again.

Thanks for the info. I'm out of town right now, but I'll look into it when I get back.

This will be fixed in the next update (later this week or next).
