House control options for Norway (220 volts)

Post by johncl »

Hi, I am wondering what the best options are for adding housebot devices to a home in Norway is. It seems a lot of the good ones referred here like Insteon and SmartHome only offer 110 volt devices.

Also, my home is heatet by water, the floors in my first floor is controlled by a thermostat that transmits messages wirelessly to the central, while the second floor has waterblocks on the walls under each window with a manual control. Do you know if there is any nice way of "motorizing" these to be able to automate them in a housebot kind of setup? Wondering if anyone has any experience with this at all.

Hi Johncl

One solution for your heating would be,install sensors in each room and monitor temps via housebot.Install 2 or 3 way valves in you heating sytem and have them opened by control sent from housebot. Boiler can be operated with if/else command again sent if any of temp sensors fall out of given range.

Alternatively have the same but with local stats.

Modern water systems are using versions of the above with zoned heating from a manifold fed from a boiler rather than tradional flow and return.
