web control interface?

Post by thehum »

i suspect this has been mentioned before, but is there any way to control hb through a web browser natively or through a plugin? I know you boast not needing a "clunky web browser" on the features page but imo the web browser offers flexibility OS-wise, not to mention not having to install any software.

If you look in the Plugins\Devices\ExternalComControl\ you should see a directory with a web sample. It uses ASP and obviously you would need to create your own web page unless somebody out here already did some work.

Hi everybody,

Who has looked at my ASP-flashcontrol for housebot. Can anybody give me feedback?

I was a little confused as to how to set it up. I have flash but i'm not sure how i'm supposed to edit the login info or add/edit devices in the interface. (I've never used flash scripting before) Some kind of backend with gui would be much easier for the user. Even if to just add buttons or scripts. It's a hassle to fool around with the source in flash.
